Paul joined Booth Ainsworth in September 2007 to head the Corporate and Business Tax team.

He started his career with the then Inland Revenue, leaving to join Ernst and Young, where he became a senior manager.

Since then he has worked for other 'Big 4' and boutique tax planning practices.

Paul adds to the Booth Ainsworth technical knowledge base and takes pride in being able to devise and implement commercially workable tax planning strategies. He also enjoys using his Inland Revenue experience to good effect and has dealt with many large Inland Revenue investigations.

In his spare time he enjoys offshore sailing, walking and clay pigeon shooting.
